Canon BP-522 Battery Tips
Be Careful with your Camcorder Batteries
- Do not attempt to modify or disassemble Canon BP-522 camcorder battery pack.
- Do not incinerate the battery or expose it to excessive heat, do not heat above 60 degree (140F), which may result in an exposure.
- BP-522 battery should never be exposed to moisture, rain or other moist/wet substances.
- Do not crush, pierce, hit, or any abuse use of the camcorder battery.
- Prevent short circuit of the terminals by keeping your BP-522 battery pack away from metal objects such as necklaces, keys, or coins, etc.
- Do not drop or abused video camera battery packs as it may damage highly corrosive internal cell contents in the battery pack.
- Always remove the battery from the camcorder or battery charger when it is not being used for a long time. Keep the battery in a cool, dry surrounding.
- Do not forget to run the BP-522 camcorder battery flat before store the device if you will not use it for a long time.
- If the battery is kept in storage for a long period, charge the battery and then run it flat again at least for one year.
